Supporting our community
Arthur’s Farm Kitchen is run by the Fordhall Community Land Initiative, a charitable society set up to benefit the community.
All profits from the café are re-invested within our educational and community work.
We are proud to support various community initiatives such as The Chatty Café Scheme and hold Dementia friendly status. We have a ‘Chatter and Natter’ table, where people can sit if they’re happy to talk to other customers. The Chatty Café scheme was started to help bring people together and start up conversations.
Arthur's Farm Kitchen also plays host to a 'Morning Makers' session each Tuesday from 10am, run by one of our volunteers, Elaine.
Plus, each Friday, it is the base of our community-led Afternoon Amble group. Open to anyone feeling isolated or lonely, this friendly group meets at 1pm for drinks, cake and a gentle farm amble. For more information on any of these, please feel free to call us in the office, on 01630 638 696.
